Thanks. I usually get rid of things that were making me mad when transporting and painting minis but on those Space Marines I couldn't stop myself from adding a lot of details to the minis. :)

Yup, an army needed quite strong firepower and also has problems with ripping apart enemy's transports. This configuration of Dreadnought was almost an obvious choice for me. ;)

No, I haven't. It's not plastic but some kind of rubber actually and I tried to remove those molds. It is the best effect I could achieve. I also wasted about five ammo belts before those ones using various techniques of getting rid of molds. :P

This is definitely the best looking rifleman dread conversion I've seen. :O Where did those autocannons come from?

From the Imperial Guard weapon teams. ;) Cutted, filed and matched together with ammo belts from toy soldiers and some bits from Dark Angels (expecialy Ravenwing) upgrade sprues. ;)

Thanks. I'm very fond of them because I think that those autocannons turned out very good despite the fact that I had some problems with cutting and matching them together. :P

I clasify my 40k perchaces as Need and Want. By Need, i often refer to what i require in order to game. Want is ofthen things i just find cool, or nice conversion ideas (like my second dread, third squad of chaos terminators, fith chaos lord ect.)

Amazing work. I always thought that dual auto-cannons is an excellent option, specially against light vehicles armies, like Eldar and Tau.

Does it work well for you ?

Yes. It works even excellent because in our local meta there are lot of Trukk rush Orc and Rhino rush SM players. And shooting at such light armored vechicles with dual twin-linked autocannons almost always results in smashing them to burning ashes. :P

Mortis Pattern? I'm not familiar with that; looks like 2 autocannons?
Reply
:iconnecro1989:

In general the Mortis pattern Dreadnought was used by Dark Angels and was armed with dual twin-linked autocannons, dual twin-linked heavy bolters, dual twin-linked lascannons or dual missile launchers. So, for me it is name for the longer ranger fire support Dreadnought armed with paired weapons. ;)

As a traitor guard player, I don't agree with loyalists on everything. But we do reach the consensus that everything is better when it's twin-linked.

BTW,is this from the Adapteus Custodes?
